Rooted in Care,

Growing With You.

About Your Therapist

What I Bring to Sessions

I bring a down-to-earth, open approach to therapy that invites you to come exactly as you are—no pressure, no pretenses. I create a space where we can be serious when we need to be, but also laugh, chat, and connect as real people. Together, we’ll explore your struggles and build practical tools you can use between sessions and long after therapy ends. I believe the goal of therapy is growth and independence—so my job, ultimately, is to work myself out of a job by helping you feel strong and equipped on your own.

Clinically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, body sensations, and behaviors all influence one another—and how small shifts in one area can create meaningful change in the others. I also integrate tools from Mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other approaches as they fit your needs. Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s flexible, collaborative, and built around what works best for you.

Education and Certifications

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Millersville University in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in Social Work from Marywood University in 2015. Since then, I have continued to deepen my clinical expertise, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. My commitment to staying informed and responsive to the evolving needs of my clients is reflected in my ongoing pursuit of professional development.

I hold specialized certifications as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and as a Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP). I actively engage in continued education to ensure I am providing informed, compassionate care that aligns with the unique experiences and goals of the individuals I work with. My educational journey is rooted in a deep dedication to understanding and supporting mental health through evidence-based, client-centered approaches.

Background Experience

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Founder of Acorn & Oak, I bring a diverse range of professional experiences that deeply inform my approach to therapy. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families across all stages of life and in a variety of settings. Each of these roles has helped shape my understanding, compassion, and ability to support clients in meaningful and effective ways.

I began my career working in an adolescent psychiatric unit, supporting teenagers navigating mental health challenges and emotional distress. I then spent time at a domestic violence shelter, where I provided direct services to women and children—focusing on self-esteem building, educational programming, and safe housing support.

In Baltimore City, I worked in a high-needs foster care program, where I collaborated with foster families, biological families, children, and the court and education systems. I started there as a caseworker and later became a supervisor, gaining invaluable leadership experience and insight into systemic advocacy.

Most recently, I have worked in hospice care, offering emotional and practical support to patients and their loved ones during end-of-life transitions. These experiences have strengthened my ability to hold space for grief, complex emotions, and life’s most challenging moments.

I draw from all of these experiences in my current practice, creating a supportive, informed, and holistic environment for my clients. My goal is to meet each person where they are and help them navigate their journey with empathy, respect, and expertise.
